1.  Pick two countries in Chapter 22 and provide an in depth paragraph on their government and how it operates.
Great Britains' government is a democracy like the United States.  Their government is unitary and parliamentary in form and rests upon an unwritten constitution and is a monarchy, which means that they have a hereditary ruler.  So, Britain is a government that the United States was formed by in many ways and is very similar to how our government operates.

Japans' government is also a democracy which the American's embedded back after Japan's defeat in World War II.  They have the House of Councillors, which has little power and serves as the advisory ruler.  The House of Representatives is much powerful.  The Prime Minister and the cabinet perform the executive functions of government in the Japanese governmental system.

2. What are some of the similarities of the countries that are in Chapter 22?

All of the governments except for China are or are going to be a democracy.  All of the countries have one ruler with power but not all of the power.

3. What are some of the differences of the countries that are in Chapter 22?
China is different because it doesn't have a democracy and there are harsh in limiting human rights, unlike the other countries.  Other countries are different because not all of them have a President and a Prime Minister.

4. Which country in Chapter 22 do you believe has the strongest government and why?
I believe that China is probably the strongest government because although it does limit what the people have as rights, they are very disciplined because of it and have a strong military.

5. In what ways does the U.S. government relate to the methods of governments listed in Chapter 22?

All of the other governments are also a democracy and have a President or a Prime minister.  Most of them have two bodies of the legislature and have some power to make decisions and pass bills.
